Finding Safety in the Storm | Friday
Devotional
Judgment is coming, and there’s only one place of safety when the Judge stands at the door – at the cross where God’s wrath already fell on His Son. This isn’t meant to frighten us but to awaken us to the urgency of our spiritual condition. Many people live as if they have unlimited time to get right with God, but none of us knows when our time will end. The good news is that God has provided a refuge from His judgment through Jesus Christ. At the cross, the fire of God’s judgment fell on His Son instead of on us. When we place our faith in Christ, we find safety not in our own goodness but in His perfect sacrifice. This could be your divine appointment – a moment when God is drawing you to Himself. Perhaps you’ve known about Christ but never known Him personally. The invitation is simple: acknowledge your sin, trust Christ as your Savior, and be reconciled to God. Revival begins when we become diligent disciples who cooperate with God’s plan for transformation. It starts with individuals like you and me surrendering completely to Christ, allowing His fire to burn in our hearts and spread to those around us.
Bible Verse
“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” – 2 Corinthians 5:21
Reflection Question
If you were to stand before God today, where would you place your confidence – in your own goodness or in Christ’s finished work?
Quote
There’s only one place of safety and refuge when the judge is standing at the door. And that’s for you and I to place our lives where the fire of God’s judgment has already fallen.
Prayer
Jesus, I place my life where Your judgment has already fallen. Thank You for being my refuge and salvation.
