Open Hands, Trusting Heart | Friday
Devotional
Your heart always follows your investment. Where you put your money reveals where your trust really lies, and it also shapes where your heart will go. This is why Jesus connects worry with treasure – they’re intimately linked. When you hold tightly to your resources out of fear, your heart becomes anxious and divided. But when you live with open hands, practicing radical generosity and trusting God’s provision, something beautiful happens. Your heart follows that trust and becomes free from worry’s grip. Living with open hands doesn’t mean being foolish with money – it means recognizing that everything you have belongs to God anyway. When you give generously, you’re declaring ‘God, I trust You.’ Each act of generosity is a statement of faith that God will continue to provide. Today can be a day of surrender – a day you choose to trust God completely with your provision, your future, and your needs.
Bible Verse
‘For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.’ – Luke 12:34
Reflection Question
How might practicing radical generosity this week help free your heart from worry and increase your trust in God’s provision?
Quote
The life of surrender is a life with no worries. Because we are not focused on what we do not have or what we think we need. We are focused on Christ.
Prayer
God, help me live with open hands today, trusting You completely with my resources and my future. May my generosity be a declaration of faith in Your faithful provision.
