No Halfway Discipleship | Monday
Dr. Michael Gossett

Devotional
Following Jesus isn’t a part-time commitment or a casual hobby we pick up when convenient. It’s an all-in decision that transforms every aspect of our lives. Many people today want the benefits of faith without the full surrender it requires. They want Jesus as Savior but resist Him as Lord. They want heaven’s promises but earth’s pleasures. Yet authentic discipleship calls us to complete  allegiance. This doesn’t mean we’ll be perfect, but it means we’re wholly committed to growing in Christ. When we try to live with one foot in the world and one foot in faith, we end up spiritually unstable and ineffective. True freedom comes when we stop trying to manage both kingdoms and fully embrace life under Christ’s loving authority. Today, consider where you might be holding back from complete surrender to Jesus.

Bible Verse
‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.’ – Luke 12:1-12

Reflection Question
What areas of your life are you still trying to keep separate from Jesus’ lordship?

Quote
There are no gray areas in following Jesus. Like, it’s not like you can be halfway in, halfway out. There’s no such thing as a disciple that is halfway in.

Prayer
Lord, help me surrender every area of my life to You completely. Give me courage to stop living halfway and embrace full discipleship.
