The Urgency of Now | Wednesday
Devotional
Procrastination might work for cleaning your garage or starting that diet, but it’s deadly when it comes to your eternal destiny. Jesus warns that there’s a short window of time to make this decision – the door won’t remain open forever. The reality is sobering: you don’t have the rest of your life to surrender to Jesus. None of us know how much time we have left, and Jesus makes it clear that one day the door will close. This isn’t meant to create fear but urgency. There are moments in life when it’s more dangerous to remain where you are than to step forward. This is one of those moments. The call to ‘make every effort to enter’ isn’t about earning salvation through works – it’s about the urgency of placing complete faith in Christ alone, right now.
Bible Verse
‘Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.’ – Luke 13:24
Reflection Question
What is keeping you from fully surrendering your life to Jesus today, and is it worth risking your eternal destiny?
Quote
The reality is you do not have the rest of your life to surrender to Jesus.
Prayer
Lord, I don’t want to delay any longer. Help me to make every effort to enter through the narrow door and surrender my life completely to You today.
