Has It Changed You? | Friday
Dr. Michael Gossett

Devotional
The kingdom of God is advancing around the world, transforming lives and communities everywhere. But there’s a more personal question that demands your attention: Has it changed you? Is it changing you? The kingdom of God isn’t just a global movement or historical event – it’s the reign of Christ over you, in you, and through you. It’s not enough to admire the kingdom from a distance or celebrate its impact in other people’s lives. The question is whether Christ’s transforming power is actively working in your own heart. This transformation happens in two ways: once in salvation when you’re completely changed from death to life, and continually through sanctification as God’s grace shapes you more into Christ’s likeness. The kingdom advances one heart at a time, and it starts with yours. If your theology doesn’t lead you to be a lead repenter, evangelist, and person of compassion, then something is off. Jesus isn’t interested in religious performance; He wants people who bear His name to actually look like Him and act like Him. The kingdom that changes everything it touches must first change you. Only then can you be part of advancing it to others who desperately need the same transformation you’ve received.

Bible Verse
‘He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves.’ – Colossians 1:13

Reflection Question
Looking honestly at your life, what evidence would others see that the kingdom of God has truly changed you and continues to change you?

Quote
The first step for the kingdom that changes everything it touches, the first question for you is, has it changed me? Is it changing me?

Prayer
God, search my heart and show me where Your kingdom needs to reign more fully in my life. Transform me so completely that others can see Your kingdom at work in me.
