From One to Many: God’s Multiplication Plan | Monday
Devotional
Have you ever watched a single seed grow into a tree that produces thousands more seeds? This is exactly what Jesus demonstrates in Luke’s Gospel. What started with Jesus alone doing ministry work expanded to twelve disciples, and now multiplies to seventy-two others. This isn’t coincidence—it’s God’s intentional design for how His kingdom grows.
When Jesus first called His disciples, He promised to make them ‘fishers of men.’ This wasn’t just a nice metaphor; it was a fundamental shift in purpose. Every person who encounters Jesus becomes part of this multiplication strategy. You weren’t saved just to sit in church pews or pay your spiritual dues. You were saved to be sent.
Think about the people in your life—your coworkers, neighbors, family members, friends. God has strategically placed you in their lives not by accident, but by design. Your salvation story, your transformed life, your growing relationship with Jesus—these aren’t just personal benefits. They’re tools for kingdom multiplication.
The beautiful truth is that God doesn’t need you to be perfect or have all the answers. He simply needs you to be willing. Just as Jesus sent out seventy-two ordinary people to do extraordinary kingdom work, He’s calling you to step into His multiplication plan. Your sphere of influence, no matter how small it seems, is exactly where God wants to work through you.
Bible Verse
‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ – Mark 1:17
Reflection Question
Who has God strategically placed in your life that might be waiting for you to share His love with them?
Quote
If you are saved, then you are sent. This is the reality of a life in Christ. It is the reality of a life in the Spirit. It is the reality of what Jesus says is true commitment and following him.
Prayer
Lord, help me see my life through Your eyes of multiplication. Show me the people You’ve placed around me who need to know You. Give me courage to step into Your plan for kingdom growth. Amen.
