After four days of examining what steals our peace, let’s focus on what it looks like to actually live in the peace God offers. This isn’t a peace that comes from having all our problems solved—it’s the presence of God in the midst of our problems.

When you live with authentic peace, your marriage becomes a picture of the gospel rather than a source of constant conflict. Your relationships honor God because you’re not constantly offended or trying to control others. Your workplace becomes a place where people notice something different about how you handle stress and disappointment.

This peace becomes visible when you choose to think about what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable instead of dwelling on everything that’s wrong with the world. It shows up when you respond to difficult people with gentleness because you remember that the Lord is near. It manifests when you bring your concerns to God in prayer instead of rehearsing them in worry.

Our world is dying to see people who live the peace of Jesus in a chaotic world. They’re tired of fake positivity and empty promises. They want to see something real, something that works when life gets hard, something that doesn’t depend on circumstances being perfect.

You have the opportunity to be that person. Not because you’re perfect, but because you know the One who is. Your peace today—in traffic, in difficult conversations, in uncertain circumstances—might be  exactly what someone needs to see to believe that God is real and that His peace is available to them too.

Bible Verse
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” – Philippians 4:4-9

How can you intentionally display the peace of Jesus in your daily interactions this week, and who in your life might be watching to see if your faith makes a real difference?

Prayer
Lord, make me a person who lives Your peace in this chaotic world. Help my life to be a testimony to Your goodness and faithfulness. Use my peace to draw others to You and to show them that You are real and Your love is available to all. Amen.
