Your Moment to Move | Friday
Devotional
The impact of twelve untrained, unknown rural Galilean men was so significant that news of their ministry reached the ears of Herod himself. These weren’t religious professionals or trained speakers—they were ordinary people who had been transformed by an extraordinary encounter with Jesus.
This should encourage every believer who has ever felt unqualified or insignificant. God doesn’t need your perfection; He needs your willingness. He doesn’t require your expertise; He requires your surrender. When you live a life proclaiming the good news of Jesus while loving with His heart, people will wonder who you’re serving—and that’s exactly the point.
Every disciple is moving from observing to participating. The question isn’t whether God can use you—it’s whether you’ll let Him. There has to be a moment in your life when you move, ever so gently, from watching the work around you to inviting Christ to work through you.
It doesn’t matter how old you are or how young you are. Age isn’t the determining factor—availability is. If you are saved, then you have everything necessary to do what God is calling you to do. The Spirit of the living God dwells within you, and His power is fully sufficient for whatever mission He has for you.
What are you waiting for? Perhaps you’ve been preparing, planning, or postponing. Maybe you’ve been watching others and thinking, “Someday I’ll do that too.” Today can be that someday. Your moment to move from observer to participant is now.
God’s church is plan A for reaching the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. You’re not plan B or a backup option—you’re part of His primary strategy.
Bible Verse
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
Reflection Question
What specific step can you take this week to move from observing God’s work around you to actively participating in His mission through you?
Quote
Every disciple is moving from observing to participating. And what is it that you are waiting for?
Prayer
Lord, I don’t want to spend my life as a spectator in Your kingdom. Give me the courage to step into active participation in Your mission. Use me, however You see fit, to advance Your kingdom in my sphere of influence. Amen.
