Victory Secured | Friday
Devotional
Imagine making a major purchase and walking away without your receipt. You’d spend sleepless nights wondering if the transaction actually went through. Did the payment process? Is the item really yours? The receipt provides proof that everything is complete.
When Jesus cried out ‘It is finished’ on the cross, He was declaring that the payment for our sin had been made in full. But how could we be sure that God accepted this payment? How could we know that our
salvation was secure? The resurrection is our receipt.
Jesus rising from the dead proves that God accepted His sacrifice for our sins. Death couldn’t hold Him because He had conquered sin completely. The empty tomb is evidence that our debt has been paid and our salvation is guaranteed.
This means you can live with absolute confidence in your relationship with God. You’re not waiting for something else to happen to secure your salvation. You’re not hoping that maybe, if you’re good enough,
God might accept you. The work is done, the victory is won, and the receipt is in hand.
Too many believers live in uncertainty about their salvation, constantly wondering if they’ve done enough or if God is pleased with them. But the resurrection settles these questions once and for all. You have
everything you need for salvation right here in God’s Word.
Walk in the confidence of complete victory. Your salvation isn’t a maybe—it’s a certainty based on Christ’s finished work and proven resurrection.
Bible Verse
‘God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.’
– 2 Corinthians 5:21
Reflection Question
How would your daily life change if you truly believed that your salvation is completely secure and that you have everything you need for a relationship with God through Christ’s finished work?
Quote
We can know without a doubt that this is necessary for our redemption. And we can walk away by trusting in Christ with a sure and certain victory for our salvation.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the certainty of salvation through Jesus’ death and resurrection. Help me live in the confidence of complete victory rather than the anxiety of uncertainty. May I rest in what Christ has accomplished rather than worry about my own performance. Amen
