Strategic Kingdom Living | Thursday
Devotional
A lighthouse isn’t built in a hidden cove—it’s positioned strategically where ships need guidance most. Similarly, as followers of Jesus, we’re called to live strategically, positioning ourselves where unbelievers can encounter the gospel through our transformed lives.
This requires intentional thinking about how we steward our time, resources, and opportunities. It means asking ourselves tough questions: Have I leveraged my home this week for the gospel, or is it just a place of comfort where I hide from the world? Am I making the most of the time God has given me? Am I positioning myself where unbelievers will know the gospel?
Strategic kingdom living doesn’t mean we have to become missionaries overseas (though some are called to that). It means being intentional about the everyday opportunities God places before us. It’s choosing to build genuine relationships with neighbors, coworkers, and classmates who don’t know Jesus. It’s using our resources—whether that’s our home, our talents, or our time—to create opportunities for gospel conversations.
The beautiful thing is that when we live strategically, we don’t have to force conversations about faith. When people see authentic transformation in our lives, they naturally become curious about the source of our hope, peace, and joy.
Remember, you have things in your life that will either fuel the light or drain it. Choose to position yourself where your light can make the greatest impact. Don’t waste the opportunities God has given you—lift up your light so it can illuminate the darkness around you.
Bible Verse
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” – Psalm 90:12
Reflection Question
How can you more strategically position yourself this week to share the gospel through your relationships and daily interactions?
Quote
Are you positioning yourself where unbelievers will know the gospel? Because I have purposefully put myself in a position where unbelievers are.
Prayer
Father, help me to be strategic with the time, resources, and opportunities You’ve given me. Show me how to position myself where unbelievers can see Your light through my life. Give me wisdom to make the most of every opportunity. Amen.
