A Note from Jacob Browning
Jacob Browning

One of my favorite questions is, “how are things at the Flint Campus?” I love this question because it is an exciting time for Green Acres in Flint. Nearly 17 months since the relaunch it is clear the guiding hand of God deserves all the credit. I can tell you assuredly it is not because of the prestige, wisdom, or charisma of the Campus Pastor! This is great news. Movements caused by men are dependent on men, but movements caused by God depend on Him. All the praise and glory belong to God.

It is difficult to paint the full picture of God’s impact. After connecting with hundreds of people, a single word comes close with one stroke of the brush… blessed. God has used our values to Connect, Grow, and Multiply the influence of our church. After a year, we launched a second service and Connect Group hour. We are already out of space for our Connect Groups both hours! We have celebrated nearly 50 people sharing the gospel through baptism. We have given around 5,000 care gifts to our local schools, sent 35 people on mission trips, and now offer sign language during the 11 o’clock worship service. Each week we have seen around 300 in our services and over 200 in our Connect Groups, and we continue to seek God’s direction for how to transform more lives with the truth of Jesus. God has been so faithful to honor the hard work and dedication of the Green Acres staff, volunteers, and prayer warriors. Our inspiration has been the Great Commission since the beginning. It continues to be our inspiration.

18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. 19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20

We invite you to continue praying for the Flint Campus. Nothing of eternal significance will happen absent of prayer. Thank you.
