Dear GABC Family,

As we continue to monitor the spread of the coronavirus, we are adjusting our plans for Sunday Morning Bible Study this Sunday. Local infectious disease specialists with whom we are consulting have suggested that it is prudent for Green Acres to suspend Sunday Morning Bible Study groups this Sunday, March 15, specifically because of the difficulty of physically spreading out in our SMBS classrooms (“social distancing”) to reduce risk. In response to that counsel, we are cancelling all SMBS groups — Adults, Singles, College, High School, Middle School, Children, Preschool, etc. — tomorrow morning, March 15.

We will continue to have worship services as scheduled with the modifications that Pastor David has previously mentioned. The size of our worship space, and our adjustments in worship practices still provide an environment in which that “social distancing” can be safely accomplished.

We are communicating this information to and through all of our ministry areas. Please feel free to assist in that communication by forwarding this notice to your family members, friends and SMBS group members.

Again, we emphasize that if you are exhibiting any signs of illness, or if you or anyone in your immediate circles of relationship are at risk, that you stay home.

Continue to pray for those who are in leadership in our church, city, state, and nation. 2 Timothy 1:7 counsels, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

As believers, we have the authority which Christ has given us to pray in His Name, while demonstrating the peace that Jesus has not only promised, but provides in what for many may be a very disconcerting time.
