The Green Acres Freeman Scholarship Program of Green Acres Baptist Church is offered to members of Green Acres. Scholarships are awarded in the amount up to $500 per semester depending on monies donated to the designated fund Green Acres Scholarship. No church monies are budgeted or designated for this fund, therefore the funds are limited.

OPEN:
2012 Fall Semester.
Scholarship applications accepted between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the reception desk in the Lighthouse Weekday Entrance. No Fall 2012 applications accepted after 5 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012.

CLOSED:
2012 Spring Semester

Eligibility
1. Preference shall be given to applicants who are members of Green Acres Baptist Church.

2. Applicants must submit a scholarship application, a current transcript and information on all classes currently in progress no later than 5:00 p.m. June 15th to be eligible for a Fall semester award and by 5:00 p.m. November 16th to be eligible for a Spring semester award. Those wishing to be eligible for an award must submit applications each semester. Letters of recommendation optional.

3. Please include, if possible, a current photograph (photocopy acceptable)

Notification
Within two weeks of the application deadline, members of the Freeman College Scholarship Committee will meet to designate scholarship recipients. The Chairperson of the committee, or his/her designee will notify awarded recipients no later than July 20 for the Fall semester and by December 20 for the Spring semester. The same process will also notify non-recipients of awards.
