Kidz Praise at Green Acres Baptist Church is for children 3 years of age (as of September 1) through fifth grade. Children do not have to be members of Green Acres Baptist Church to participate. Kidz Praise is a high energy time of learning and worship. We not only sing, but incorporate choreography, drama, STOMP, playing instruments and other avenues of creative worship.

Performance Opportunities

Individual groups are given an opportunity to perform throughout the year for parents and friends. Each year at Christmas and in the spring, our children present very special programs, which are staged and choreographed. Auditions are held for special teams, such as drama, choreography, STOMP and Xtreme Praise.

Our Goals

• Expression of worship to God through a variety of music and creativity
• Learn the basic musical concepts of rhythm, melody, form, harmony, expression and dynamics
• Learn to move to music through choreography
• Be given opportunities to play and experiment with melody and rhythm instruments such as rhythm sticks, step bells, jingle taps, autoharp, boomwhackers, etc.
• To learn to be creative through the use of art and drama
• Learn to sing correctly
• Learn to read musical notation
• Learn to appreciate music and understand its purpose in the church

Where is the Kidz Praise Ministry office?

We are located in room 207 on the second floor of the Worship Center.

What ages are included in Kidz Praise?

Kidz Praise is for ages 3 through the 5th grade. To enroll in our 3 year old class, a child must be 3 by September 1 of the current school year.

Do I need to register my child or does he/she just show up?

Every August, we send a mailout to all children enrolled in our Sunday School and the registration will also be available online during that time. If you do not receive a form, one may be requested from the Worship Ministry office or you may register the first time your child attends.
