Career Crossroads offers practical job search assistance in an atmosphere of supportive, Christian fellowship, including:
- Resume Preparation/Revision Once a member has a clear idea of the type(s) of jobs they are targeting, and has developed the initial draft of their resume, Career Crossroads will assist them by critiquing and suggesting possible changes/edits in content or format (if needed).
- Interview Preparation Members who want to improve their interview skills will have several options:
- Mock interviews scheduled with volunteers
- Interview training sessions can be planned for 3-5 members
- One-on-one interview preparation, as needed
- Networking Career Crossroads will provide a number of networking opportunities.
- Career Planning Career Crossroads will provide members with a series of personality, skills and interest inventories to assist in clarifying what type of job or career they may be best equipped to enter.
- Encouragement Members support and encourage one another through weekly meetings, online postings and prayer support.
Our Mission
- To empower our unemployed and underemployed community members .
- to inspire them to feel God's provision—even in times of apparent hardship.
- To coach and assist them through weekly, target job search skills training.
- To refer them to community resources that can assist with barrier removal.
- To uplift and motivate them to find success in their life, regardless of employment status.
- And to help the stay in faith that God has a plan for their life, including their work.
