Overview
The overall message contained in 2 Corinthians is "Hope for Cracked Pots." The Bible says, "For we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." (2 Corinthians 4:7) The secret of the Christian life is realizing we contain the life of the Lord Jesus Christ released through the Holy Spirit. Even though the container may be a little misshapen, or even cracked, the value is the treasure we contain, not in the container itself. In other words, "It's not about ME!" "It's all about HIM!" So, even if you consider yourself to be a little cracked, take hope because you can still carry the greatest treasure the world has ever known!
